Tolkien have been the seminal fantasy text of the last century. I loved reading the book and will definitely continue with The Lord of the Rings after a break.Ever since they were published in the 1950s, The Lord of the Ringsbooks by J.R.R. Some books are beyond your ratings and this is definitely one of those books. This is the reason why I’m concluding this review here. Other than that, I completely enjoyed reading the book.Īlthough, writing a review for this book was a difficult task. Now that comment might annoy the fans, but I’m just writing my experience. So far, I’ve just talked good about The Hobbit because there isn’t anything particularly wrong about the book except that I found some dull sections in between. The characters will definitely amuse you and you’ll soon be a part of their journey. You’ll be glued to the core story right from the beginning. You might be one of the same kind, but I can assure you that it won’t matter. May be that is the reason why I had not picked The Hobbit until now. If you can visualize vividly while reading, you’re in for a gala time definitely.
The entire journey is filled with adventures, make-believe creatures and an adrenaline rush. Both the children and adults can enjoy the book equally because it will suffice to the interest of all ages pretty well. The best thing about this imagination is that it has been told in a simple form using easy to understand language and words. I bow to Tolkien because The Hobbit was written back in 1937 and such an imagination at that time definitely deserves a salute, a bow or whatever gesture that explains your astonishment at best. Tolkien has created and it all revolves around Bilbo Baggins. They ask him to come along with them on an unexpected journey/adventure where they have plotted to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug, a mighty dangerous dragon.įrom there onwards, the The Hobbit is all about the adventure, the dangers that lurk in the journey, the strange creatures, the fantasy world that J. While he’s comfortably enjoying his life in his hobbit hole, his peace is disturbed by the wizard Gandalf and thirteen dwarves.
